Last November we gathered up dozens of Halloween pumpkins and piled them up around the spots where our future fruit trees will be.
It was a lot of fun, and we looked forward to seeing what would happen over the winter!
We did have one big problem, however. The orchard trees were were outside the garden and we needed to move the fence.
A big thank you to the dream team – Jude, Kevin and Scott – who moved the fence! The trees will be safe from the deer. Indeed, the pumpkins are quite decomposed in several months time.
We’ll be planting apples, pears, asian pears and Italian prune plums! YUM!
