SWA pea beds are growing!

After the pea class with the Second Graders, there were lots of pea plants looking for a home. SWA students had already planted 3 rows of peas, but fortunately there was a fourth row looking for occupants.

Students also planted lettuce in between the pea rows, which will be harvested before the peas get too tall. The white floating row cover is pulled back over the plants to hold warmth in and prevent the birds from snacking on what is destined to be snacks for students.
