Love that organic matter!

There were piles of compost on the Farm Field and lots of First and Second Graders to help spread it.  An enthusiastic bucket brigade is the best way to get hands-on experience!

Chris Korrow came with his tractor and tilled the compost in.

Then the students tested how far their arms could reach into the soil after tilling. With the Italian shovel spader that Chris uses, the soil horizon goes down deep, beautifully working in the compost and cover crop in.
